I can't believe you cannot get public assistance until after the baby is born.  I just told someone else - get down to the local social services office right away.  They should provide you with emergency temporary housing & food stamps.  After the baby is born, take advantage of job training.  They should set you up with a housing allowance - even money for a phone.  Good luck.

Get down to your local social services office immediately.  Explain the situation, and there should be emergency assistance available for you.  They should provide you with temporary shelter, food stamps, etc.   They eventually should get you going with a housing allowance.  Good luck!
